Where is Deer Creek Camp?

Medina, Texas is our home.

We're nestled 12 miles west of Bandera just off Highway 16 on 175 acres. Rolling hills, marvelous sunsets, the Medina river, plenteous wildlife, and the big blue Texas sky await all those who visit.

Are you associated with any church or denomination?

Deer Creek is a non-denominational Christian camp.

What's your maximum capacity?

We can accommodate up to 260 guests.

Do you require a minimum number of people?

We require a minimum of 50 guests to book a retreat.

What should we do when we arrive at camp?

We can't wait to see you!

The gates will open at 4 PM on Sunday for Epic and SALT campers, and our welcoming committee will be there to greet you and introduce you to your camper's counselor. During this time, you'll receive your cabin assignments, drop off any medications, set up the camp store account, and pick up your swag bag or any other pre-order items. You're welcome to assist your camper in making their bunk and getting settled into camp. The evening program will kick off at 5 pm for all campers.

What about sports and adventure?

Get ready for some thrilling sports and adventure at Deer Creek Camp! We offer a variety of activities to enhance skills and teamwork in areas campers are interested in. From sports like basketball, pickleball, and soccer to adventures experiences like bait masters and art expereince, there's something for everyone. Campers can choose their preferred options by logging in here and clicking Forms and Documents.

What should we expect on closing day?

Parents are highly encouraged to attend the closing ceremonies. During this special event, we will recognize camper accomplishments and present awards. We'll also share fun stories and cherished memories from the week. As an added treat, a continental breakfast will be served to the families in attendance. Don't miss out on this memorable conclusion to an amazing camp experience!

8:30 Parents arrive to pick up bags in the designated baggage area
8:45 Breakfast
9:30 Cabin huddles, presentation of cabin awards
9:50 Meet in the Deer Dome for group closing ceremonies and awards
10:30 Adios! Families have the remainder of the morning to explore camp

The Camp Store will be open for families to pick up camper money and do some shopping.

Are meals available?

Yes. Meals served at Deer Creek are family-style or buffet-style, which means fluffy pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast, warm chili and a fresh salad bar for lunch or a delicious chicken fried steak for dinner to name a few. We also have a coffee shop/snack bar available at our camp store.

Special dietary requests can be accommodated with advance notice.
