Camp Barnabas Week
In the summer of 2010 Deer Creek partnered with Camp Barnabas to bring a wonderful opportunity for children and adults with special needs to attend summer camp in Texas. We are excited to expand this program in 2012 to include children with chronic diseases along with children who are blind or deaf/hearing impaired.
Wednesday, August 1 through Monday, August 6 we will host the Barnabas program as they offer all the fun activities of our camp to children ages 7 – 18 with chronic diseases (such as AIDS, hemophilia, Sickle cell, Crohn’s, cancer, diabetes and others) along with those who are blind, deaf/hearing impaired or who have been diagnosed with Asperger’s (no PDD or ODD). Siblings are also invited to attend this camp. To register your child for this camp or for more information, click here.
Wednesday, August 8 through Monday, August 13, the Barnabas crew will lead a program for campers with physical ages 7 – 25 who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or autism. Siblings are also invited to attend this camp. To register your child for this camp or for more information, click here.
