What a great first half!
It is strange to think that the summer is already half way over. As AC4 begins to wind down, it makes us all take a step back and realize how much the Spirit is moving through camp. This summer has been one for the books! It has been incredible with an almost totally new staff, seeing them all touching the lives of the children that come in and go out of the gates. Every week they are energized and ready to go no matter how many weeks they have been at camp. We never hear them complain. They are focused on their purpose here, sharing the Light of Christ with their campers.
The campers have been having a blast this week! We have had some on-and-off rain showers, but that has not stalled the fun one bit! The campers are busy playing fun “all camp” games in the Deer Dome. The laughter echoes through the hills so loudly that I’m surprised that our neighbors don’t complain! There is no sweeter sound than a child’s laughter. Although the sky may be full of clouds, the Light is shining bright at Deer Creek Camp!
