Ready to LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!!!
As of May 24, the counselors have arrived at Deer Creek Camp to begin training. We are very excited to welcome each and every staff member as they prepare their hearts and minds for this summer and meeting all of their campers beginning in June. The gates will be open for our first term before we know it.
Each staff member is learning some incredible things in the next couple of weeks, including what it means to be a family. As we watch them quickly build new friendships and rekindle old ones, we discover that each person has a story, but it is the foundation of their story that brings us all here and makes us family. JESUS CHRIST. We are able to see the light in their eyes and the eagerness they have to share that light with each other and their future campers.
God has led each and every one of us to camp for a reason, and as we each become closer learning and growing together, we will continue to glorify the ONE thing that brought us here to Deer Creek, our God. 12 more days until the gates open to begin Summer at Deer Creek 2010, so let us all remember to open our hearts, prepare our minds, and LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!!!! 1 John 1:5
